Generic Thai place

If it's for lunch, Thai iced tea is great, provided they use coconut milk in their mix.
Generic Mexican place
This varies a lot from place to place, but here are some general guidelines:
No burritos - they only use flour tortillas
Tacos are usually fine, but messy. Carne asada for the meat, no cheese, no sour cream.
Green enchiladas are a favorite of mine - be sure to get no cheese on or in the enchilada, nor on the side of beans that usually comes with them.
Platos are a great option. Rice, black beans, and either carne asada or barbacoa for the meat. No cheese or sour cream, but green salsa or pico de gallo are great.
Usually just water to drink, since I can't have sodas.
Places It's Not Worth Visiting
Delis. They usually don't have gluten-free bread, or much in the way of options.
Pizza places. They usually don't have gluten-free crusts or dairy-free cheese, but a few chains do!
Italian places. I can only have, like, the plainest of plain salads there.
French places. Ditto.
Middle Eastern places. Ditto, but now with meat concerns, too!
